Guillaume GILKES

Guillaume GILKES is an international expert in finance dedicated to Africa. Key member of the team since 2007, he directs group’s research activities. Guillaume GILKES started his career in Africa in 2005 as a strategy and management consultant in Dakar (Senegal) then as a freelance consultant for the World Bank on technical assistance projects in Africa within insurance and social protection fields, bringing his insurance and social protection expertise.

At FINACTU, Guillaume GILKES started his career as an actuary consultant and project manager. He worked on several assignments in Morocco (pension scheme reform), In Gabon (setting-up of a health-insurance scheme) and in African insurance companies for due diligences within private equity operations (technical provisions audit, business plan, etc...)

Guillaume GILKES has already led research activities. He notably worked on a study on the challenges and opportunities of the Islamic finance development for the Paris financial center, under the direction of MM. Pastre & Jouni (“la finance islamique, une solution à la crise ? », Economica, 2009).

Guillaume GILKES is an actuary graduated from the ISUP. He also holds a degree from the ESSEC Business School.

Guillaume is French-Ivorian and lives in Nantes (France).
